Written while I was away at Rehab..
Very deep feelings about addiction..

From the gateway drug to one of the worst
constantly taking more to quench the same thirst
emotions have been swept beneath the rugs
murderous nightmares and dreams of drugs
my hearts been taking and thrown on the floor
screaming my name out for just one more
and im not quite sure how much more i can endure
the lines been casted and the pills are the lure
still searching through recovery to find the cure
i lay upon myself this self-infliction
i pray to God that im not taking by my addiction
instead of one more pill just give me one more day
i dont want to be a lost soul thats been left astray
so i ask for forgiveness and a little understanding
i will not fall vitim to what my addiction is demanding
i am a slave to this disease and have been for so long
so i repent my sins for all ive done wrong
and if i could give back all that ive taken
and heal every heart that i have been breaking
so little by little the urge starts to deminish
im not running this race cause i fear the finish
